Eight injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, Nov 6: Eight persons were injured today in separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, two pedestrians identified as Anita Devi (32) wife of Bittu Ram and Kamlesh Devi (33) wife of Ramesh Kumar, both residents of Hakkal (Raipur-Satwari), were injured when they were hit by a Swift car at Hakkal.
At Canal Road near Pawan Ice Cream, two persons identified as Rakesh Kumar (38) son of Bhiru Ram, resident of Rajinder Nagar (Jammu) and Tanu (20) daughter of Ved Parkash, resident of Paloura, got injured when two scooties collided with each other.
Two persons namely Sunita Khajuria (41) wife of Ramesh Kumar and Naresh (58) son of Parshotam, both residents of Roi Morh (Gadigarh) suffered injuries when the bike on which they were travelling collided with another bike.
In Bawe-da-Talab area of city outskirts, a bike was hit by a Tata Mobile, resulting into injuries to bike rider Ravinder (25) son of Madan and pillion rider, Khem Raj (27) son of Lal Din. Both were residents of Sungal (Akhnoor).
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
