BATALA : Eight members of a family were killed and another was seriously injured when the roof of their house was collapsed while they were sleeping at Dhall village under Sekhwan police station in Gurdaspur district early this morning.
According to the police, the family members of Magal Masih, a resident of Dhall village under Sekhwan police station, were sleeping in the house when the roof was collapsed due to heavy rain in the region for the past four days.
The deceased were identified as Mangal Masih, wife Taoshi, sons Bikram Masih, Thomas and Money, daughter Mona and his mternal grand daughters Anchal and Anju. The wife of deceased Bikram Masih, Sarabjit was injured seriously in the incident and was admitted in the civil hospital Batala.
