Eight women among 15 injured in group clash

MENDHAR, Sept 21: Fifteen persons, including eight women, were injured in a group clash between two families at Hamutta under the jurisdiction of Gursai Police Station.
While all the injured have been admitted in local hospital, three of them have sustained serious wounds.
The clash erupted over felling of a tree by one Mohd Razak, whose house had been damaged due to the recent landslides. Mohd Razak’s action was strongly opposed by his neighbour Zakir Hussain and a heated exchange of words between the two soon turned into a violent clash.
Soon the other family members of both the neighbour also joined the clash in which 15 persons sustained injuries.
Besides Mohd Razak and Mohd Hafiz, the injured were identified as Rabia Kousar, Mohd Niaz, Rashida Kousar, Resham Jaan, Zahida Kousar, Ibrar Razak, Nishat Bano, Zakir Hussain, Farida Kousar, Samina Kousar, Safia Bi and Noor Mohd.
Police has registered a case in this connection on complaints by both the parties. However, no arrest has yet been made.
