JAMMU, July 12: As the nation recently battled with Covid-19 wave, the Modi Government’s most stellar achievement would be to change its role from ruling to service, said senior BJP leader and former Minister, Choudhary Sukhnandan Kumar today.
He said the PM Narendra Modi in second term has just completed three years in office. Through the list of his achievements, most of which are quantifiable. As an example, the numbers reached in flagship schemes are quite extraordinary. Banking the unbanked through the Jan Dhan Yojana – 42 crore bank accounts – and thus taking financial inclusion to every home in India. Funding the unfunded through Mudra Yojana – 29 crore loan sanctions and Rs 15 lakh crore disbursals – and thus seeding an entrepreneurial revolution, he added.
The digitalising the undigitised through UPI – 25 billion real-time transactions in 2020 – and thus making India the largest digital payments ecosystem in the world, said Choudhary Sukhnandan Kumar.
In J&K, many projects, which were lying defunct, have been started by the Modi Government. In Jammu, the work of lake project on the pattern of Sabarmati lake, will be completed in prescribed time, said the former Minister.
However, beyond these remarkable works, there is one other way to assess the success of Modi – the changes in our national character. First, Modi has fundamentally altered the way Central governments used to understand economic policy-making.
