JAMMU, Feb 24: The Employees Joint Action Committee (R), has clarified that Babu Hussain Malik was still president of EJAC-R and news posted on social media by some disgruntled elements regarding dismissal of Malik was fake and fictitious.
In an emergency meeting of the EJAC-R held here today majority of the members/office bearers present in the meeting expressed serious concern over the posting of report regarding dismissal of Babu Hussain Malik by one Sheikh Ajaz Makdoomi, chief organizer of the EJAC-R.
It was clarified that Babu Hussain was still president of the EJAC-R, with majority of members and office bearers supporting him and that Maqdoomi has no authority to dismiss duly elected president. Meanwhile, Sheikh Ajaz Maqdoomi and Javed Ahmed Akhoon, general secretary have been dismissed from the primary membership of the EJAC-R with immediate effect for anti-union activities and creating indiscipline, the EJAC release said.
