SRINAGAR, Apr 4: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) today demanded release of pending salaries of all the daily wagers including employees of PHE, R&B, Irrigation and Flood Control etc.
In a handout EJAC president, Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam also demanded modification of SRO-520.
He said, timely payment of salaries is a fundamental and basic right of every Government employee and the Government should ensure that the employees are not deprived of their basic rights.
Shabnam expressed regret over the prolong delay in releasing of salaries of daily wagers of several departments and said that delay in getting salaries is not only affecting the employees financially but also psychologically as it has put a direct affect on the career of their children.
The EJAC leader said that such careless attitude of the Government has forced the employees to come out on streets along with their children and protest against the Government.
Shabnam urged the Governor, Chief Secretary and the concerned Advisors to address these demands without further loss of time.
