EJAC endorses PDD workers’ strike today

JAMMU, May 13:  A faction of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) has endorsed the strike call given by the J&K Central Non-Gazetted Electrical Employees Union tomorrow.
In a meeting of the EJAC members  held here today under the leadership of Ram Kumar Sharma, the trade union leaders in one voice endorsed the strike call given by Electrical employees in wake of the death of a power worker Bilal Ahmed Magloo at Karan Nagar receiving Station in Srinagar due to negligence of the department.
While demanding Rs 10 lakh compensation for the PDD worker, the EJAC also stressed for impartial inquiry into the matter and the action against those responsible for the death due to negligence.
Prominent among others who attended the meeting included Balwan Singh Jamwal, Babu Hussain, Abdul Rashid, Bharat Bhushan, Madan Sangral, Purshotam Sharma, Firoz Ali, Hari Singh and Yash Pal.
