EJAC flays DSE-K for suppressing voice of teachers

JAMMU, Feb 27: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC), Jammu today flayed Director School Education, Kashmir (DSE-K) for suppressing the voice and sentiments of teachers through autocratic means.
In a meeting of EJAC held here today under the presidium of Ganesh Khajuria, Narinder Singh Jamwal and Paramjit Singh, the speakers said that the shameful act on the part of DSE-K in which he broke open the door and locker and burnt files, banners and other materials is highly warranted, unfortunate and shocking.
“Such attempt of DSE-K to curb the legitimate rights of trade unions of the employees will never be tolerated and he will never be allowed to succeed in his evil designs”, the speakers added.
Taking serious note of the incident at DIET Srinagar, the speakers announced that they have decided to hold a massive protest demonstration at Press Club, Jammu on February 29 at 11 am to press for the removal of DSE-K, whose continuance as Director will further worsen the situation.
They said that the call for protest demonstration was fully supported by Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum and School Education Employees Coordination Committee.
The EJAC leaders appealed Governor NN Vohra to personally intervene into the matter and restore confidence among the teachers otherwise the situation will further deteriorate for which the administration will be fully responsible.
