EJAC projects demands

JAMMU, July 21: The Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) projected pending demands of the employees here today.
The demands highlighted in the meeting here today included regularization of all the daily wagers, consolidated and adhoc employees, removal of pay anomalies of the clerical cadre, enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years, reorganization of various Government Departments, enhancement of Medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 3000 per month and Festival allowance from Rs 500 to Rs 5000.
All the leaders of the Committee criticized the Government for  non-seriousness in accepting the demands.
Prominent among those present included Pardeep Kumar Sharma (MEA), P S Chib ( Govt Press), Prem Singh Bawa & Yashpal Sharma (Estates), Darshan Magotra (NTU), Marks Gill and others.
