EJAC (Q) meets Tara Chand

SRINAGAR, June 7: A high level delegation led by President EJAC and  Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Teacher Forum Abdul Qayoom Wani today  met Deputy Chief Minister  and Minister of Education Tara Chand in Civil Secretariat here, a press statement said.
In the meeting several issues of the employees including release of pay for teachers working under SSA Scheme, posting of promoted Masters, Head masters, Lecturers, ZEOs and other officials in Jammu Division, 5 years inclusion in the services of ReTs, regularization of EVs after 7 years inclusion of 15 years service in migrant substitute teachers, senior teacher grade for teachers and release of leave encashment for employees working in Education Department were discussed.
Wani appealed the Minister that pay in favour of teachers working under SSA scheme may be released at an earliest because from last six to eight months they are without salaries and are facing hardships. The promotees in Jammu division have not been posted yet and they are waiting for their new postings, the statement said
The issues related to ReTs, EVs, migrant substitutes and other employees are still pending. Deputy Chief Minister assured the delegation that pay of the SSA teachers will be released soon as the amount for such scheme has been released by Central government and needs implementation from Finance and Education departments which will be done within days. The posting of promotees in Jammu Division will be completed by June 20, 2013 and other issues related to teaching community will be solved on priority basis, the statement said.
