SRINAGAR, May 10: Senior Trade Union leader and president Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC), Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam has appealed to the UT Administration to defer the implementation of JKPaySys.
In a statement here today, Fayaz said that the implementation of JKPaySys is indeed a wonderful and much needed step for the welfare and betterment of employees, however, given the present circumstances, it is getting very difficult to implement this order productively and successfully in J&K as is being witnessed in majority of the departments.
He said the J&K is still reeling under 2G internet speed and to upload the required document of employees in this situation takes long time. Moreover, for the past few days, even the 2G internet is not available. Furthermore, due to the ongoing pandemic, there is a shortage of employees in the departments which further interrupts the fruitful implementation of this order, he said
Fayaz further emphasized on the fact that majority of the employees have not received their salaries yet as the bulk of documents are yet to be uploaded due to the above mentioned issues. He highlighted that the holy month of Ramazan is going on and also Eid is approaching, so on this auspicious occasion, the employees should not be kept without their salaries.
The EJAC leader urged the Government to defer the implementation of this order till all the required documents of employees are uploaded and release all the pending salaries of employees so that the employees do not suffer during this crucial period of lock down.
