EJCC presses Govt to implement agreement

SAMBA, Nov 23: A protest demonstration was held today at District Headquarter, here under the banner of Employees Joint Consultant Committee (EJCC) to press the Government for immediate implementation of the agreement signed between the EJCC leadership and the State Government on July 8, 2012.
EJCC has announced phased wise dharnas at all the district headquarters of the State for the implementation of the said agreement, which was to be fulfilled before September 30, 2012, but unfortunately Government failed to fulfill the agreement.
It also announced two days strike on December 14 and 15, 2012 for settlement of issues like enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years, regularization policy for all daily rated workers, casual labourers, ITI trained casual labourers and need based workers, removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre and pre-revised grade of Rs 6500- 10500 and budgetary support to all the public sector corporations for release of salaries of the workers, without further delay.
Addressing the protestors, senior EJCC leader, Mohd Gafoor Dar, urged upon the employees to make two days strike successful.
