JAMMU, Dec 27: In connection with 12th Dogri Bhasha Maanta Din celebration, Nami Dogri Sanstha organized “Ek Sham – Shiv Ram Deep Ji Ke Naam”, a musical evening in loving memory of Sahitya Academy Award Winner, Shiv Ram Deep.
The evening was composed by famous composer and singer Dharmesh Nargotea at K L Saigal Hall, Jammu in which V K Sambyal, Station Director, Radio Kashmir Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion while S K Kapoor, Assistant General Manager, State Bank of India, Jammu was the guest of honour. Ravi Magotra, Senior Broadcaster, Radio Kashmir Jammu was the special invitee. S S Anand Lehar, presided over the function and Prof Anupama Sharma and Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila, president, Nami Dogri Sanstha also shared the dais.
Singers were Dharmesh Nargotra, Bishan Dass, Dr Kewal Samnotra, Vishakha Bhardwaj and Deeksha. Shiv Ram Deep Memorial Memento was awarded to Dharmesh Nargotra.
Kumar A Bharti, famous drama director, read a detailed paper on the life and works of the Sahitya Academy Award Winner Shiv Ram Deep. Nidhi Kaila, president, Youth Wing, Nami Dogri Sanstha, compered the programme while Yash Pal Yash, general secretary, Nami Dogri Sanstha, presented the vote of thanks.
Those, who were present on the occasion, included Sham Talib, president Adbi Kunj, Aaresh Om Dalmotra, Mohan Singh Jamwal, K L Mast, Ravi Razdan, Randhir Singh Raipuria, Ramesh Rahi, Rakesh Sharma ‘Tript’, Rajeshwar Bhakhri, P L Parihar, Ravi Abrol, Aditya Sharma, Meharban Singh, Amit Gupta, Sudershan Kumar, Deepak Attri, Sunil Khajuria, M L Komal, Ritvick Rohan Kaila and famous Ghazal singer Suraj Singh.
