Ekta Vihar delegation meets senior PDD officers

JAMMU, July 23: A delegation of Ekta Vihar area of Gangyal here today met senior PDD officers at Sub Transmission Division-II, Panama Chowk and raised the issue of power crisis.
The delegation was led by Social Workers-Suman Preet Singh and Sanjay Sharma and it highlighted that electricity supply made to Ekta Vihar through Sehora Bandurakh Receiving Station from Bishnah Grid. Delegation members said that on a slight wind and little rain, the power supply is snapped as water enters the Receiving Station of Sehora Bandurakh.
“We visited different wings of PDD and senior officers also but no heed was paid to our problem,” they maintained adding, “If this continues then we will be forced to block the highway to protest against Electricity Department.”
The delegation members said, they were told that after the installation of smart meters they will get electricity for 24 hours but the smart meters are giving hefty power bills and poor electricity supply.
The delegation comprised Sikandar Salaria, Raman Preet Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Darshan Kumar, Sudesh Bhatia, Kirpal Singh, Hansraj, Deepak Langeh, Ajit Singh, Sushil Kumar, Gurdeep Singh, Sunny, Rajesh Salaria, Chandan Singh, Anil Kumar, Narayan Das, Jagir Singh, Saurabh Mahajan and Sonu.
