KATRA, May 4: An elderly male pilgrim died here today because of cardiac arrest while on way to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine.
The deceased was identified as Baijnath Pandit (79), son of Dukhan Pandit of Pailmo, Distt. Giridih Jharkhand. He suddenly fell down and became unconscious near Inderprasth Bhojnalaya Adhkwari. He was immediately shifted to dispensary Adhkwari where doctors after medical examination declared him as brought dead. He was accompanied with his family members.
Meanwhile, a scooterist was critically injured after his two-wheeler collided with an auto at Trintha near Reasi.
The injured, identified as Makhan Lal, son of Janki Dass of Grah Morh, Reasi, was going from Reasi to Grah Morh when and auto was coming from Garh Morh to Reasi when the mishap took place. He was immediately shifted to DH Reasi and later on doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu.
