UDHAMPUR, June 16: An elderly man consumed some poisonous substances under mysterious circumstances in Chenani area of district Udhampur today.
The police sources said that 60-year-old Sunil Singh, son of Diwan Chand, resident of Tandar village in Chenani allegedly consumed some poisonous stuff at his home. The family members said that Sunil consumed the stuff by mistake. He was rushed to hospital at Chenani where doctors washed his stomach and then rushed him to District Hospital, Udhampur. His condition was said to be unstable. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
