JAMMU, Feb 19: An elderly person was found murdered in holy town Katra.
As per reports, 65-year-old Punjabi Ram, son of Gopinath of Muttal, presently residing at Matayal, Katra was found murdered near his rented accommodation today.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the injury bearing body to Sub-District Hospital, Katra for postmortem.
After autopsy, the body was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Katra police station and investigation started.
