JAMMU, Oct 28: An elderly man was killed today in a road mishap in Kunjwani area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a pedestrian identified as Mukundi Lal (70) son of Salamat Rai, resident of Shanti Nagar, Gangyal, suffered serious injuries this morning when he was hit by an unknown vehicle at Kunjwani.
“The injured man was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he succumbed to his injuries at about 5.30 pm”, the spokesman said, adding, body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for post mortem.
He said that the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
