RAJOURI, Sept 25: The dead body of a 70-year-old man was found hanging under suspicious circumstances at Kewal village under Budhal police jurisdiction of Rajouri district on Monday morning.
Information received from police said that the family members told the police that on Sunday night the elderly manm Ghulam Mohammad, about 70 years old, had gone to his room to sleep, but on Monday morning when he did not come out of the room for a long time, the family broke the door of the room and saw him hanging from ceiling fan hook of the room.
On receiving information, a police team from Budhal Police Station reached the spot and immediately shifted him to the government hospital at Budhal where the doctor declared him as brought dead.
After post-mortem and completing other legal formalities, the body was handed over to the family by police. Meanwhile, police registered a case and started investigation.
