Elderly PoK visitor dies in Rajouri

JAMMU, Oct 13: An elderly man hailing from Pak occupied Kashmir (PoK) died in the house of his cousin in Kotranka (Budhal) area of district Rajouri today.
Identified as  Mohd Jameel (74), son of Niaz Mohd, resident of Bhore Colony in Mirpur town of Pak occpiped Kashmir, the deceased had come to meet his cousin Mohd Yousuf (78), son of  Mohammed Din at village Khokhar in Kandi-Budhal. His daughter Shaheen Akhtar (34) and son- in- law Mohd Riaz besides their two children were also accompanying.
A senior police officer said that this family had come to this part of the J&K on October 7, 2013 via Chakkan-Da-Bagh crossing point on LoC  and had permit to stay with their relatives on this side of the LoC up to November 4, 2013. Jameel was in good health and had no problem at all.
In the morning Jameel complained of some chest pain and a local Medical practitioner  told that his blood pressure was high. He was shifted to Kotranka Hospital where he died. The family informed the District Administration about the matter. Kotranka police also reached there after some time. The police conducted the necessary legal formalities. The district administration also took up the issue with the PoK authorities. The body of the deceased was dispatched to Mirpur in PoK via Chakkan –Da- Bagh from Rajouri this afternoon along with Police party headed by SHO Kotranka. The relatives from Budhal also accompanied the dead body up to LoC point at Chakkan-Da-Bagh. They were expected to reach at LoC point at around 8.30 pm tonight.
