JAMMU, June 22: An elderly woman sustained severe injuries after she was beaten to pulp by her nephew over a land dispute in RS Pura area here today.
Police have taken cognisance of the matter and arrested the accused identified as Prabhleen Singh son of Tarlok Singh of Lane Number 7, Digiana, Jammu.

A case FIR number 130/2024 Under Sections 341, 323, 504, 506, and 34 IPC has also been registered against the accused at Police Station, RS Pura.
According to a police official, the elderly woman was busy in her fields at Flora village of RS Pura when she was attacked by a group of individuals, including Prabhleen Singh and some women, around 3:30 PM, resulting severe injuries to the 70-year-old woman.
She has been admitted to the Government Medical College Jammu for treatment and further investigation has been taken up.
