JAMMU, Sept 25: An elderly woman died in a road accident here at Bishnah area of the District today, officials said.
Rano Devi (65) wife of Rattan Lal of Hakkal Satwari, was hit by a Bolero vehicle at Deoli area of Bishnah today, resulting in injuries to the woman, they said.
She was taken to a local hospital for treatment from where she was referred to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors pronounced her as dead on arrival, official said.
The body of the deceased woman has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem while a case under relevant sections of the law stands registered at Police Station Bishnah and further investigation taken up.
