SAMBA, Nov 23: An elderly woman died after she was hit by a motorcyclist in Rakh Amb Tali area of Samba this evening.
According to the reports a motorcyclist hit the elderly woman in Rakh Amb Tali area of Samba and she was seriously injured. With the help of local people, the injured woman was taken to District Hospital Samba (DHS) where she succumbed to her injuries.
The deceased has been identified as 70 year old Kartaro Devi, wife of Kadu Ram resident Rakh Amb Tali Samba.
The second incident took place near Maheshwar in Samba on the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway, where a motorcyclist hit a pedestrian, resulting in serious injuries to the motorcyclist and the pedestrian. The injured were taken to District Hospital Samba with the help of Army and local police, where after first -aid, both of them were referred to the Government Medical College Hospital of Jammu.
The injured have been identified as 19 year old Aditya Bhagat, son of Suchet Kumar, resident of Budhwani Samba and the injured pedestrian has been identified as Gurdeep Singh, son of Darshan Singh. In this context, the police have also taken cognizance of the matter and started further action.
