JAMMU, Dec 4: Maintaining that an elected representation of the community is must to put a united face before the Government, Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) chief, R K Bhat today said that his organisation will put all its efforts to hold election in the community to follow democratic system and create an elected representative character of the Community.
Addressing the meeting of YAIKS here, today to devise the future strategy of the organisation, Bhat said this will be the ultimate solution to all problems and will unite community at one platform. This will also stop further mushrooming of organisations, he added.
He said YAIKS will also press the Government of India and LG administration for more jobs in Central and UT for the unemployed youth of the community besides, it will follow up on the legal case of Left Over Candidates (LOCs).
He said his organisation will also press the Government for one-time compensation of Rs.33 lac for 33 years and enhancement of cash relief benefits in favour of the over-aged section of the community. Besides, it will take up the issues of Valley Posted Migrant Employees (VPME) with the Government, he added.
“We will strongly demand political empowerment of the community with due representation in the Assembly and Parliament, besides, protection, preservation and restoration of Temples and Shrines in Kashmir Valley’’, he said.
Among other issues the YAIKS will demand formation of Apex Committee of KPs headed by Union Home Minister, it will also organize annual Maha Shivratri Millan and International Conference in September, 2024 at SKICC, Kashmir jointly by GKPD, YAIKS and JKVM, he added.
The meeting was attended by YAIKS Core Committee members, advisors and others.
It also deliberated over formation of ‘YAIKS new team’ for the term 2024-2026 and said that the representation will be given constituency wise for all the 10 districts of Kashmir Valley.
