POONCH, Mar 18: The District Election authorities today launched special campaign and removed hoardings/ boards of Government and political parties from Poonch town, Suurankote and Mandi area of the district.
Reports said boards of not only Ali Mohd Sagar, related to Centrally sponsored RDD schemes and Health Minister pertaining to Health related schemes, installed at many public places were removed, but those belonging to Chief Minister were also removed in a special drive today.
The Election authorities team under the supervision of District Elections Officer, conducted extensive drive and also removed party flags, banners and other election related material from the important public places. The police party also accompanied the election team. The entire material was seized and political activists were also warned to adhere to the election code. It was reported the team also moved to Surankote, Bafliaz, Mandi, Loran and then conducted extensive exercise in Poonch city. The drive will also be conducted in Mendhar, Balakote and Gusari area tammorow.
