Election funding

Sir,
It has generally been seen that businessmen, and corporate houses provide funds to the political parties in India. It is from here that the virus of corruption spreads in the system. The political parties in turn extend all kinds of benefits to the business community. The businessmen get these benefits at the cost of poor Indian taxpayer. Though, Election Commission keeps a  tab on elections by asking political parties to submit expenditure lists, much more needs to be done to keep a check on donations to political parties. Rather, Government must contemplate on Government funding of elections. This will to some extent help in eradicating corruption from India.
Need of the hour is that political parties must understand this complex situation and should desist from taking money from other sources. A country free from corruption will enhance our esteem in the world.
Yours etc…
