JAMMU, Mar 29: The election of the President and the General Secretary of All Jandial Sabha (Regd) scheduled for Sunday 31st March, 2024 has been deferred.
A deferment notice was issued by the 3-Member Election Commission constituted for the purpose. The committee is headed by K B Jandial, while Satish Jandial and Devinder Gupta are its members.
It considered the matter arising out of the appeal filed in the Jammu and Kashmir High Court by Ramesh Kumar Gupta & another against the order of Ld. Principal District Judge, Jammu dated 02.02.2024.
Justice M. A Choudhary, Judge of the High Court heard the matter on 27th March, 2024 and reserved the judgment.
Since the judgement has direct bearing on the election process of All Jandial Sabha, the Election Commission decided to defer the election for the time being.
