JAMMU, Jan 9: The election committee of All J&K Shri Sadguru Kabir Sabha (AJKSSKS) today said that the election process for the posts of president and general secretary is still ongoing and the final date for submission of nominations is January 18.
Addressing a press conference here today, the election committee members of the Sabha said that official election notification for the posts of president and general secretary was issued by the committee Chairman and nomination forms were issued from 5th December 2024 to 14th December 2024. The forms had to be submitted between 11 December 2024 and 15th December 2024, and election was scheduled to be held on December 29, 2024.
“However, as no nomination form along with required fee was received by the election committee by the stated deadline, the committee after consulting with various community members extended the deadline for submission of nominations till January 18, 2025 and issued a fresh notification. Till date, no completed nomination forms have been received by the committee,” the committee members said.
They further said that the election process is still open and anyone wishing to contest must follow the official procedure set by the election committee.
