Electric Employees Union discusses demands

JAMMU, Dec 22: A meeting of J&K Electric Employees Union was held under the chairmanship of Qazi G M Tantary today wherein they discussed several issues regarding the problems faced by the employee.
In the meeting, it was discussed unbundling of JKPDD is gathering its pace and is in final stages of its actual implementation but print or plan of action in this regard has been informed/initiated to JKPDD employees so far.
The meeting was attended by Krishan Singh Jamwal president of Union for Jammu province and provincial secretary and advisor, M K Tickoo. The meeting said that it has been conveyed in letter no JP/24 dated 16.12.2014 to authorities but reply is still awaited.
The Union has appealed all the employees of PDD to be united and conscious about the attempts of Government regarding the process of unbundling of the department viz-a-viz the future prospects of its employees and of the non-regular employees i.e. work charge/PDL/TDL/casual base and need based workers as the Government has not been able to come clear on the issuer before the employees despite assurance given to the representative of employees particularly J&K Employee Union.
