The loosely fitted weak and shattered electric wires hanging down close to the roofs of houses and almost touching the heads of the passersby in the streets are not less than death warrants or even ‘death traps’ for the inhabitants of village Chonwari (Gandoh). These torn and worn out electric-wires’ temporarily connected with ordinary rotton and substandard small poles in dismal and distorted conditions posing danger to human and animal life obviously speak of gross negligence of PDD and manifests the callous, apathetic and discriminatory attitude of the Govt. Isn’t it sheer injustice and discrimination the poor and helpless people are faced with! We believe that the people in rural areas are still facing the brunt of injustice, discrimination, exploitation and deprivation at the hands of politicians and bureaucrats. We strongly plead for fulfillment of our just and genuine demands and seek the C.M’s intervention into it.

Blacktop Shakti Nagar road
I would like to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities towards the poor condition of the Shakti Nagar road that craves for urgent attention. Infact the road from PHE water pump near Kal Bharav Temple to Bakshi Nagar Bridge is in a very bad shape and causing lot of inconvenience to the people of the locality in particular and public in general. This road has not been restored to its original condition despite the work of laying of sewerage pipe lines by the concerned agency apparently seems to be over. The people here exposed to the dust and pollution wafting from the un-macadamized road almost on a daily basis. The dust emanating from the plying of four wheelers is much more and one cannot walk without keeping a handkerchief on one’s mouth. Apart from causing immense inconvenience to the residents/general public, the poorcondition of the road is in fact a health hazard for all.
Keeping in view the difficulties faced by the public owing to the bad condition of the road in absence of black toping, it is requested that authorites get the road blacktopped at the earliest so as to provide much needed respite to the stidents.

Repair link road
I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards the miserable condition of the link road/entrance road from National highway towards Ward No. 56 Dashmesh Nagar Gangyal Jammu. Since the work of construction of road from Satwari to Kunjwani by pass is going at snail’s pace, the whole drains are broken and no measures has been taken by the concerned deptt, causing accidents at regular intervals. Hence it is requested that entrance road towards Ward No. 56 may be repaired at once. Otherwise, the concerned deptt. would be responsible for any loss of life.

PHE scheme Salehri awaits competition
Lackadaisical attitude in completion of the above said scheme is indeed lamentable. Five-six years old scheme is still half-way done. Carrying pitchers for water even after celebration of 65th Independence Day indicates how our rural sector is deprived of basic necessities of life. The water is a natural need and therefore, it deserves special attention to ensure its availability even in those areas where poor and innocent masses dwell. The Divisional Engineer (PHE) Rajouri/Nowshera is requested to ensure that the scheme is operationalized on priority basis to mitigate the grievances of the masses.
