Eleven bovines rescued, 2 smugglers arrested

SAMBA, Nov 17: Samba police successfully foiled attempt to smuggle bovines by rescuing 11 bovines after arresting two bovine smugglers at NHW Mansar, Morh.
According to the report, a team of Samba Police headed by Dy. SP, DAR Samba Chabbil Singh Bhau during surprise checking intercepted a truck (canter) bearing registration Number UP12AT-7042 at NHW Mansar Morh which was coming from Kathua side and moving towards Jammu.
During checking of the vehicle, 11 bovines were found laden inside the vehicle without any permission.
The accused driver identified as Zulfar S/o Irfan R/o Tand Badli, Rampur, Uttar Pardesh along with associate Naushad S/o Mohd. Sadiq R/o Nagaina, Bijnor, Uttar Pardesh have been arrested on spot. All the bovines were rescued and shifted to safer place. The vehicle used for transporting the bovines was also seized on spot.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 310/2020 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act stands registered at PS Samba and investigation started.
