HANDWARA, Mar 20: With the elimination of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Saifullah, Handwara Police have solved the Zaloora, Sopore encounter case in which a security forces personnel was martyred.
Saifullah, an “A” category Foreign Terrorist (FT) was killed in an intelligence-based operation on March 17. Post-operation investigations confirmed his involvement in the January 19, 2025, Zaloora encounter, said police sources.
Saifullah had been active along the Handwara-Sopore axis, working to revive the LeT network. His elimination marks a major success in the fight against terrorism in North Kashmir.
