JAMMU, Feb 7: Employability Skill Training Programme organized by IQAC of Government MAM College Jammu in collaboration with Government College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) Jammu under the aegis of Higher Education Department concluded.
A total of 130 students which include 15 from Government College of Education and 115 from Government MAM College enthusiastically participated in this two week training course.
A total of 90 hours of teaching was imparted to the students related to the topics that would raise their employability skills. The teaching faculty/resource persons arranged by the Higher Education Department for the programme included Mujahid and Mayank, from Universal Education, Bangalore.
The course comprised of training on Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Aptitude and Resume Writing. The overall nodal officer was Dr Sameru Sharma Principal GCET and Prof Sanjeev Gupta from Department of Mechanical Engineering, GCET acted as overall coordinator.
The function was inaugurated by Principal of Government MAM College Jammu, Dr GS Rakhwal, who in his address made the students aware about the emerging employment avenues. He stressed upon the students to make themselves prepared for the demands of the private as well as public sector undertakings.
The welcome address was presented by Prof Vijeeta Anand.
The valedictory function of this program was chaired by Dr Nalini Pathania and certificates of participation were distributed among the students.
Dr Rakesh Kumar Koul, IQAC Coordinator of the college, expressed his satisfaction over the successful completion of the programme.
In the end, Prof Bhanu Priya presented the formal vote of thanks.
