JAMMU, Mar 24: Bahu Fort Police arrested contractual employee of Income Tax (IT) Department for swindling department’s money.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Principal Commissioner Income Tax Department Bahu Plaza with Police Station Bahu Plaza stating that a department’s contractual employee namely Nisha Devi of Trikuta Nagar has swindled around Rs 34 lakhs money of the department’s. The accused had transferred the money in her, her mother and sister bank accounts, the sources added.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 89/2022 under relevant Sections was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and the accused lady has been arrested, sources said, adding that further investigation into the case is going on.
