Srinagar, May 23: Joint Consultative Committee of the State Government employees has appealed to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to intervene personally to settle their pending issues.
A statement of the amalgam said JCC leader Abdul Qayoom Wani presided over the meeting and the participants unanimously appealed to Omar to show employee friendly-attitude.
JCC also decided to hold a “strategic” meeting on coming Wednesday to decide the course of their action.
“JCC leaders will devise a strong, fruitful and productive strategy to raise their demands before the Government. We will go to any extent,” the statement said.
The employees have been demanding enhancement of their retirement age by two years, and regularization of all the casual, daily wagers, contractual and ad hoc workers among other demands.
