Employees asked to support JCC strike on June 21, 22

JAMMU, June 20: The J&K National Trade Union Front (JKNTUF) and Employees Joint Action committee (EJAC) – 3rd front, have jointly appealed the common employees of various departments to support the two-day strike programme by the JCC leadership.
The appeal was issued during a meeting wherein JKNTUF president Gafoor Dar accused the State Government of back tracking on the signed agreement with the JCC leadership
The meet highlighted the agreed demands, which include regularization policy for all Daily rated workers, need base worker, casual labour , adhocees, contractual, academic, consolidated who were engaged after 1994, enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years, removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre, etc.
Mr Dar said “During the strike from June 21st, the employees will observe protest demonstration and rallies at all the district headquarters while on June 22nd, all employees would assemble at Sher-e-Kashmir Park Srinagar for a massive protest rally towards Raj Bhavan.”
The other leaders who were present in the meeting included Arun Mousa, Nazir Ahmed Molvi, Rajinder Kumar , Molvi Munir, Vikramjeet Singh Satpal Singh, Abdul Rashid Malik, Raj Singh, Vijay Kumar, Tanveer Hussain and Deepak Gupta.
