DODA, Mar 22: The employees and contractors engaged with Lower Kalnie Power Project Donadi, Thathri held protest against Mentena and Costal Companies at Thathri and blocked the Kishtwar-Doda road.
The protest was led by Asgar Hussain Khangi and Choudhary Noor Mohammad Kaloo, President Labour Union Donadi.
Kaloo stated that Mentena and Costal Companies have has failed to pay the wages of the employees. The companies also failed to make payments of contractors as per the commitment made with them, he added.
He informed that for the past four years, all types of payments are lying pending and contractors are suffering a lot due to non payments of the pending dues.
The protesters also approached the civil administration in Thathri to initiated necessary action against Mentena and Costal Companies.
