JAMMU, July 2: A delegation of J&K Government employees under the banner of Employees Joint Action Committee (R), called on Chief Secretary of JKUT, Atal Dulloo today and projected the issues of the employees.
Led by Babu Hussain Malik, president of the organization, the employees submitted a memorandum and raised their pending issues before the Chief Secretary. They demanded regularization of daily wagers, casual labours, need based workers, ASHA and Anganwadi workers, SPOs, besides other temporary workers engaged in Forest, PDD, PHE, Municipalities, Sports Department etc.
They also demanded release of GP Fund, leave salary, gratuity and other pension benefits to the retired employees pending in various Government Treasuries; enhancement of Medical Allowance and House Rent Allowance of the employees; holding of DPC of the employees working in different departments in Jammu and Kashmir; restoration of Old Pension Scheme and disposal of pending SRO-43/ 120 cases.
The Chief Secretary listened to the issues of the employees delegation and assured that their genuine issues would be addressed shortly.
Others who accompanied Malik include-Muzaffar Nabi, Hilal Ahmed Khan, Haji Jehangir, Tartaz Ahmed, Fayaz Bhat, Naseer and Shakeela Begum.
