JAMMU, Mar 13: A deputation of All J&K Low Paid Government Employees Federation, led by Abdul Majid, called on the Minister for PHE Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Sharma and apprised him of some long pending demands.
The deputation demanded creation of 2118 posts of different cadre in Kashmir province at par with Jammu for which a proposal already stands submitted to the administrative department years back, grant of technical grades to the employees, rationalization of posts in South Kashmir, smooth functioning of the department, timely salary to the employees appointed under SRO 43, etc.
The Minister gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured a positive action soon.
The deputation comprised of Abdul Rashid Bhat, Mohd Shafi Wani, Hamid Ullah Shah, Tariq Ahmed, Ghulam Nabi Sheikh and others.
