Employees to hold protest rally outside Raj Bhawan

JAMMU, Mar 8: The employees from various Government departments and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have decided to stage massive protest demonstration outside Raj Bhawan here tomorrow.
In order to galvanize support from various employees bodies, senior members of State Govt Employees Joint Action Committee (SGEJAC) including Sushil Sudan, Subhash Verma, Suresh Sharma, K C Dubey, Vinod Sharma, Jarnail Khokhar and others visited various offices like PHE, R&B, Forest, SFC, Irrigation, Govt Press, Directorate of Health Services, Estates, JMC, State Motor Garages, ITI, SRTC, Medical College, Udyog Bhawan, JDA, Vikas Bhawan etc and held meetings with the employees for seeking their support for tomorrow’s protest programme.
They appealed all the employees and workers to assemble at Old Mubarak Mandi complex at 10 AM for further protest rally in support of their long pending demands. They received tremendous response from various departments.
The major demands of the employees included, immediate release of 6 % DA, removal of pay anomalies of clerical and other cadre, enhancement of Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 3000 per month, regularization of all type of daily rated workers engaged before or after 1994, reorganization and budgetary support to all the PSUs, timely release of salary of teachers engaged under SSA, Anganwadi workers, regularization of KGBV teachers sitting on hunger strike, declaring five day week for the employees working outside Secretariat etc. They asked the employees to lodge their protest for getting justice and assemble in large number at Mubarak Mandi complex at 10 AM.
