Employees of Estates Deptt hold protest

JAMMU, Mar 24: All Employees of Estates Department assembled in front of the office of Deputy Director Estates, Jammu and held a protest for early redressal of demands, today.
The protest was held under the leadership of Prem Singh Baba, Yash Paul Sharma, Coordinators of Coordination committee leaders shouting slogans against the department for adopting delaying tactics to implement genuine demands of the employees.
The protestors  were demanding re-organisation of Estates Department, regularization of daily rated workers, release of orders of time bound promotions, release of  wages of casual workers, finalization of senority list for holding DPC, provision of two and a half day additional pay, issuance of appointment order under SRO-43, construction of building for housing the office of Dy Director Estates near the office of Executive Estates Division, Jammu and extension of  pension benefit scheme in favour of regularization adhoc employees.
Addressing the protestors, the speakers appealed all the employees of the Estates Department to remain united and participate in the ongoing agitation launched by the coordination committee, until all demands of the employees are achieved.
It was also appealed to all the employees to assemble in front of the office of Deputy Director Estate, Jammu on  March,  25, 2014 for holding one day protest, if the administration fails to respond to the issues of employees.  Among others who addressed the employees were Tilak Raj, Puran Chand, Rash Paul Lal, Rajinder Singh, Jeet Raj, Shamboo Singh, Subash Chander, Ravi Kumar, Sagar Massi, Mohinder Paul and S Baljit Singh.
