Srinagar, June 7: State Government employees have demanded the removal of the SKIMS Director for his alleged mismanagement and mishandling of the premier institute.
Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) President Abdul Qayoom Wani in a statement said that the recent reports about SKIMS mismanagement has shocked the people in the State.
“Besides mismanagement the Director has hiked the fee for poor patients; basic medicine is not available to the patients and for the Director patients are not important but officials from the Secretariat are dear to him,” Wani said.
The employees have appealed the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to intervene personally to save the institute from further mess.
“The Director should be replaced with an able and intelligent person so that the people of the State are not deprived of a vital healthcare institute,” Wani said.
