Employees support JCC strike on Dec 14, 15

JAMMU, Dec 9: Several employees’ bodies have resolved to render support to the JCC’s strike programme on December 14 and 15.
The JCC team which concluded its first two-day campaign on Saturday in Jammu to garner support for the proposed strike appealed the employees from various departments and the PSUs to make the strike programme a grand success. The team comprising members like Gafoor Dar, Ganesh Khajuria, Kulwant Singh, Amrik Singh and Muneer Ahmed held meetings with the employees in various departments and sought support.
They alleged that Government has failed to address the pending demands of the Government employees which included regularisation of  daily wagers and consolidated workers, removal of pay anomalies, enhancement of retirement age, medical allowance and support to the PSUs etc. The employees are being forced to adopt the agitational path, they alleged.
Meanwhile, a faction of EJAC led by senior trade unionists Jaswant Singh, Balwinder Singh, Ravi Singh Bhau, Kulwant Singh and Sukhbir Singh in a meeting held today resolved to support December 14-15 strike programme of JCC. They also chalked out strategy for the protest programme in a meeting organized here today.
All Public Sector Employees and Workers Federation led by Amrik Singh Sasan and Surjit Singh in a meeting held today supported the strike call given by JCC leadership. The body demanded implementation of  6th Pay Commission in all the PSUs and redressal of other pending demands of the employees. Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum leader Ganesh Khajuria also supported the strike programme of JCC.
