Sub:- Press Release
Service Selection Board has advertised various categories of posts for appointment of suitable candidates against the posts referred by the various Intending departments.
Accordingly Board examined all the pending references and therafter decided to conduct written examination for the said posts. Board has already issued Notification through print/electronic media for information of candidates who have applied to the Board against these posts with regard to conduct of written test for determining the suitability for Screening/Short-Listing of the candidates who have to appear for interview, later on.
Accordingly a tentative date sheet was published in print media in order to determine whether there might be any clash for the dates of examination. Board in response received many representations/phone calls from various candidates with regard to clash of examination, thereafter, the Board after examining these representations announced the dates for the 2nd phase of examination as 25th of October, 2015 and candidates were informed accordingly. The Admit Cards available in the official website of the Board i.e., www.jkssb.nic.in, w.e.f. 18-10-2015
The written test for the 10+2 level posts conducted on 25th of Oct 2015 in the Single Seating in which 6590 candidates are appearing in the Examination.

It is for information of all the eligible candidates who have applied for the posts of Range Officer (Soil Conservation) in response to Notification No.PSC/Exam/2013/102 dated 12.12.2013 that the screening test for short listing of candidates shall be conducted as per programme given below at Jammu and Srinagar:-

Note:-
1. Only those candidates should appear in the screening test, who fulfill the eligibility prescribed for the post as mentioned in the above Notification. However, permission to appear in the screening test is purely provisional subject to further verification of their documents at any stage of selection process.
2. The Name and Examination centre wise notice shall be notified separately.
3. The candidature of such candidates shall be rejected at any stage of process of selection, who are found to have misrepresented or concealed the material facts having a bearing in his/their eligibility.

General Sciences:-
The questions on General Science will be designed to test elementary knowledge of the candidates and the questions on General Science will cover general appreciation & understanding of science, including matters of everyday observations and experience as may be expected of a well educated person who has not made a special study of any science discipline.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOWNLOADING ADMIT CARDS
Visit the official website of the Board, Click on “Download Admit Card for Examination on 25th of October 2015.” It may be noted that the candidate has to mention his/her examination date then his/her Name, Father’s name and date of Birth or mention his/her application form number and date of birth mentioned on the application form for downloading the Admit Card. Also they can download their admit card from their respective user accounts.
A Complete list of applicants, who are appearing in Examination being held on 25th of October 2015, is also available on the official website of the Board i.e www.jkssb.nic.in.
In case, the Admit Card does not have photograph or signature on it, paste a good quality photograph duly attested by the Gazetted Officer as was pasted in OMR sheet/ on the online application form and make sure to sign at the space provided for signature; besides, such candidates shall bring same photographs (4 nos) at the time of written test .

1. Mode Of Selection
Selection shall be made on the basis of performance made by the candidates in the written/Practical/Oral Test.
2. Eligibility :-
The eligibility criteria for applying are detailed as under :-
i) Minimum age shall be 18 yrs on 01-10-2015
ii) Minimum Academic Qualfication as 10th for “A” class wireman permit and 8th class for “B” class wireman test.
iii) Work experience for a period of not less than one year issued by the electric contractor recognized by PDD.
3. Permit holders for “B” class wireman having an experience of five years and above can also apply for “A” class written test.
4. Application form along with syllabus can be obtained from the office of the undersigned against a cash payment of Rs. 50/- From 26-10-2015 to 07-11-2015. The forms should be submitted back duly completed in all respects on or before 21-11-2015.
5. The examination shall be held in the office of the undersigned at 15-B-B Extension, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu for “A” and “B” Class Wireman on 30-11-2015 at 11 AM.
6. The candidates shall keep their own tools and material with them for the examination purposes.
