HYDERABAD: Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Sunday said about 2.80 lakh master artisans, craftsmen and culinary experts have been provided employment and employment opportunities since the last three years through HunarHaat.
These include a large number of women artisans, he said after inaugurating the week-long Hunar Haat, being Organized by Union Minority Affairs Ministry at People’s Plaza , Necklace Road here, along with Telangana Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali.
He said HunarHaat is giving newer heights to small and medium scale industries.
The traditional art of the master artisans of the country is being enthusiastically projected through “Hunar Haat”, he added.
HunarHaat has proved to be “credible brand” to ensure better livelihood to master artisans, Mr Naqvi said, adding, it has proved to be effective and successful mission to preserve and promote India’s indigenous traditional legacy of master artisans, craftsmen which was on the verge of extinction.
