SRINAGAR: An encounter broke out today between terrorists and security forces in Baramulla district of Kashmir, police said.
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Ladoora area following information about the presence of terrorists in the area, a police official said.
He said the search operation turned into a gun battle when the terrorists opened fire on the search party.
“The cordon has been strengthened to prevent the terrorists from escaping,” he said, adding no casualties have been reported so far. (AGENCIES)
