JAMMU, Feb 11: The Enforcement Wing of Jammu Development Authority today conducted an anti- encroachment drive from 4th Tawi Bridge to Belicharana area and cleared Govt land from the clutches of the land grabbers. 14 families were also booked for indulging in illegal constructions.
A team of Enforcement Wing of JDA on the directions of the Vice Chairman, JDA Mubarak Singh under the supervision of Director Land Management, Rishpal Singh comprising of Ashraf Parvaiz, Tehsildar JDA Zone-B, Enforcement Wing, under the supervision of Chief Khilafwarzi Officer Narinder Singh and field staff with the active assistance of I/C Police Post Belicharana today stopped the unauthorized constrictions which were going over JDA land in Gujjar Basti, Doda Basti at Belicharana and also along the main road to Chatha from 4th Tawi bridge.
The JDA team also lodged FIRs in 14 cases of encroachment/ illegal constructions with Police Post, Belicharana.
Jammu Development Authority, Vice Chairman Mubarak Singh has appealed to the general public, falling under JDA jurisdiction to desist from encroaching JDA land/raising illegal constructions, otherwise, stern action will be taken against the encroachers/ trespassers under rule.
