Sir,
I would like to share the concern of the Health Minister. His efforts at streamlining needs public support. The controversy into which the Health Minister got involved should in no way deter him from discharging of his duties honestly.
Meanwhile, I would like to ask humbly the concerned lady doctor whether she was exempted from wearing uniform under some guidelines issued by the Government in response to the reffered findings by reputed foreign journal? Okay, has she sought such an exemption from the Government by way of requesting for amendment in the rules. She has every right to defend her case provided instructions on wearing uniform have been issued by the Government. But then she must also know that she was not involved with patient care at the time of minister’s arrival. Enforcing strict discipline demands stringent action against defaulters otherwise exploitation is expected in such cases in future too. All medicos should know that they form the cream of the society and therefore they have added responsibility of maintaining reputation.
Poor people pay for their trainings. Its they whose hard earned money is utilised for running medical institutions and hospitals. They expect cheap, quality and readily available treatment at their door step. Let’s help the Health Minister in his endeavor.
Yours etc..
