Sir,
May God not make one victim of any serious disease, otherwise, the amount of medical allowance given to the employees and the pensioners proves a drop in the ocean. Obviously, the allowance though symbolises a strong sense of welfarism and financial relief to the concerned millions, but the existing amount is considered totally inadequate and insufficient to meet challenges of any ailment due to soaring prices of the medicines. If the allowance really justifies to be paid, then the amount needs to be enhanced to help all those who stand entitled for. Meagre amount, as it is, can’t cater the needs in the event of any unhealthy life conditions.
