Srinagar, Aug 9: The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Awantipora, Ajaz Ahmed Zargar today directed the officers to enhance and review the security.
The directions were issued by the SSP during a security review meeting at the Conference Hall of DPL Awantipora in which threadbare discussions were made regarding overall security arrangements to be adopted for forthcoming events.
During the meeting, police said in a statement, the officers discussed the security developments along with the current challenges including the measures to counter these challenges.
“SSP Awantipora emphasized the need to review and enhance the security grid and to design effective counterinsurgency strategies for smooth and peaceful conduct of the forthcoming events.”
During the meeting, officers discussed various inputs, security aspects and provided valuable suggestions and feedback for strengthening the security grid.
The meeting was attended by COs of Army (RR units), COs of CRPF, officers from other sister agencies and officers of Police District Awantipora.
